Cooper, Advanced Recovery Systems Open $27M South Jersey Addiction Treatment Center

The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper opened Monday.

Cooper University Health Care and Advanced Recovery Systems have opened a $27 million inpatient drug and alcohol treatment center in Cherry Hill.

The 90-bed Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper will care for adults struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. The project is located at 761 Cuthbert Blvd.

 

“We are bringing together the expertise of Cooper and Advanced Recovery Systems to fill a gap in the continuum of care,” said George E. Norcross III, chairman of Cooper University Health Care.

On average, Cooper’s emergency department in Camden treats between five and 20 patients daily for opioid overdose or other opioid-related health issues.

The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper will join Florida-based Advanced Recovery’s nationwide network of seven accredited rehab centers.

“We’re honored to partner with Cooper to help more individuals in need of safe, effective addiction treatment, especially now in the wake of Covid-19,” said Dr. Mitchell Eisenberg, CEO of Advanced Recovery Systems, in a statement.

The Cherry Hill center, which has 40 employees, will accept most private insurance policies. Private pay rates will also be available.
